ONE WORLD NETWORK NORTH EAST

Training
OWNNE delivers professional development workshops, facilitates staff meetings and offers one-to-one curriculum planning support.

The approaches outlined below can be adapted to meet your requirements and we also deliver bespoke training. Our sessions can be delivered as part of a CPD programme in individual schools or clusters of schools, or commissioned as workshops by local authorities.

Whole School Approaches
What sort of world do your pupils want to live in?
We can support you to create a more effective global curriculum in a range of ways:

Introduction to global dimension
What do you want your pupils to learn from a global curriculum? By identifying what you are currently doing and finding opportunities within existing schemes of work, we can help you to embed a global dimension in the curriculum.

Global focus weeks
Starting by focusing on what you want your pupils to learn, then drawing on case studies and examples, we can help you to plan ways of delivering focus weeks and days that sustain the learning and assess the impact. We can also work directly with pupils as part of a focus programme.

School links
Working in partnership with other schools can be an effective way to bring a global dimension to your curriculum. We can support you to set up an equitable link and to developing curriculum based projects.

OWNNE delivers professional development workshops on behalf of the GSP programme

Measuring the impact
We can work with staff to explore practical and engaging activities that can be used to audit and assess the impact of your global citizenship work based on a well respected toolkit produced by RISC (www.risc.org.uk).

These approaches can be introduced in a twilight or half-day CPD session.
